Introduction

Last year, Smart Church Solutions welcomed nine new team members, doubling our staff in one year. Among them are Casie Dietrich, Customer Stewardship Specialist, and Heath Arthur, Software Developer.

Originally from Southwest Virginia, Casie has called the greater Nashville area home for 20 years. Before joining the Smart Church Solutions team, she spent 12 years in various administrative support roles for non-profit organizations. Most recently, for the last seven years, she served as an administrative assistant at a multi-site church. Her passion for efficiency, enhancing the lives of others, and improvement shines through her work. In her downtime, Casie enjoys quality time with loved ones, hiking, spending time outdoors, and cooking for friends and family.

Heath is the proud husband of his wife of 20 years and father of seven children (you heard that right). After returning from service in Iraq, he used his GI Bill to earn his Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science. He then wrote his first computer code in 2008. He is the song leader at his small church and prioritizes God, his family, and the USA.

To learn more about Casie and Heath, we asked them a few questions. Below are their answers.

Where Do You Live?

Casie: Spring Hill, Tennesse, a suburb about 30 miles south of Nashville.

Heath: Harrison, Arkansas

What Do You Like To Do For Fun?

Casie: Anything outdoors and with people. Entertaining, grilling, hiking, outdoor festivals, yard work — whatever! If the weather is good, I’m outside. I also love to travel, and I adore our National Park System. I have four children who range in age from 12-25. They keep me pretty busy. I also have a wonderful companion, Erik, with whom I spend most of my free time.

Heath: Spending time in the outdoors with family and going on picnics.

Why Did you Join The Team at Smart Church Solutions?

Casie: Although I have extensive administrative experience with everything from budgets to ballparks to buildings, I really have a specific passion for facility stewardship and was energized by the operations at Smart Church Solutions. As a previous end-user of eSPACE, I was already familiar with the product and had experience teaching the software to administrative support staff in my previous organization. Once I began to meet and converse with Tim and the team, God quickly showed me the opportunity to build on my passion for facility stewardship and efficiency and affirmed that this was the place for me to begin my next professional season.

Heath: It was all in God’s plan and in his timing. It is nice knowing you are where you are supposed to be.

What Most Excites You About Working With Churches?

Casie: In my former role, I was able to develop and support systems and processes that allowed three church campuses to operate efficiently and make people’s jobs easier. I’m excited to carry this energy forward to help hundreds of organizations realize the efficiency and effectiveness of eSPACE as they steward their own space and resources.

Heath: Working with like-minded Christian people. It is unheard of in the tech field.

Ok, Now Brag About Yourself A Little

Casie: I love people and being helpful. If I am not helping someone or making their life easier in some regard, I feel like I am not my best self. I am also a resourceful person. I am curious and investigative and love to dig in, figure things out, and make connections. My former colleagues called me a “secret agent” because I can quickly produce information on just about anything. Lastly, I owned a photography business for almost ten years and enjoyed creating memories for people. I have photographed everything from newborns to senior portraits to weddings.

Heath: I have 15 years of experience in coding and development (college and on the job). My passion lies in research and development.

We are excited to have Casie and Heath on our team. Welcome aboard!
