The current facility at FPCA was “tired”, aging and had extensive deferred maintenance.  In addition, the flow and circulation of the space was dated and not efficient or contextual with the way the church wanted to “do church.”  This project included a Facility Condition Assessment, which identified approximately $1.8M in deferred maintenance.   It was determined that the church had more square footage than it needed, even if it doubles in attendance.  With that as the foundation, the plan was to best utilize the facilities they had and at the same time look for ways to address the deferred maintenance as part of a renovation process.
